The horrors of smoking
Everyone knows that smoking is not good for you. But what are the actual effects that happen in your body from smoking. Tobacco smoke contains 43 cancer causing compounds that can cause lung and throat cancer. Other diseases include emphysema, heart disease, and other throat and lung disorders. Pregnant women who smoke increase their chances of their baby being born with health problems, being underweight, and even have a chance at dying from SIDS. Not only does smoking damage your health, but it can also effect the people around you while you are smoking. Their heartbeat develops an irregular beating pattern, and they are inhaling carbon monoxide instead of fresh oxygen, therefore causing problems in their lungs. Other hazardous effects to your health AND others can be found here. http://www.buzzle.com/articles/dangers-of-smoking.html

Quit smoking for good
Here are some great tips for smoking.
- Chantix or Zyban medications. (Please consult with your doctor before using). These medications are the most preferred and most advanced way to quit smoking. They provide relief from nicotine withdrawal issues and reduce the pleasure derived from smoking.
- Quit cold turkey. Have someone take your cigarettes, or you can toss them all out or what ever you like, and just try not to smoke them anymore.
- Use nicotine patches or nicotine gum. Nicotine patches release nicotine into your body at smaller amounts every time until it releases none at all and you become cured. But people have become re-addicted to nicotine by using these products.
